Conferences with the 4th-8th grade teachers will be held in the gym. 4th-5th grade parents will pick up their child’s report card from their study skills teacher. 6th-8th grade report cards will be available at the front office. You are strongly encouraged to check Powerschool before the conferences to view final grades. **Parent/Teacher conferences can be very busy times for teachers and other parents. If there are other parents waiting, and you would like to spend more than 5 minutes talking to the teacher, we ask that you set up an appointment to meet when there is more time available. Thank You!
| The President's Corner Let me first thank Glory & Kathy for he amazing job they did organizing the dance for the 7th & 8th graders. They put forth a ton of effort and it was a lot of fun! Then night was made for me when a father said, “Thank you so much for doing this. This has been a very special night for my daughter and I.” That’s what it’s about– creating meaningful experiences for our children and families. The time has come to begin planning for the new school year. We need to recruit a new PTO Board for the 2010-11 school year. If you have an interest in participating at the level of the PTO presidency, you are invited to place your name on the ballot for voting in April. Have questions? Need more information? Contact me at

I’ll get back to you ASAP. —Jodi Sweetheart Dance
The 8th Grade graduation fundraiser, SWEETHEART DANCE, took place in the gym on Feb. 19. Fifty six students and parents attended and DJ Lex was awesome! The students and parents said “it was really fun”. A special thanks to : Mr. and Mrs. Young, Mr. and Mrs. Kline for organizing the dance, Mrs. Jenny Munoz (who is not a parent at our school) for decorating the tables, Ms. Freeburg and parents who graciously made time in their busy schedules to assist in decorating, serving, and cleaning-up, Mrs. Julie Winder for taking photographs, Mrs. Teeples for making the delicious spaghetti, and Hungry Howies for the salad and breadsticks. The 6th graders who helped serve the meal were, Austin Kline, Cierra Parkinson, Teague Lawrence, Karli Kinder, Emory Sargent, and especially the 7th and 8th graders and their parents who attended the dance and helped clean up. We would like to make this a yearly event, but without your support is may not be possible. Patents and students, please consider supporting these events a bit more, your help would be greatly appreciated. Remember we do this to help and support our student body. We need to make our children our #1 priority! |
